PPCV is delighted to announce that Luke Jackson will be one of our speakers at the SEND and Celebration online conference in March 2021.
Luke Jackson is a world-renowned author and public speaker from the UK. He has written several books, including the award winning Freaks, Geeks and Asperger's Syndrome, written at 13, and its sequel, Sex, Drugs and Asperger’s Syndrome. Growing up in a family of 8, with family members all along the autism spectrum, he got first-hand experience of what autism is from an early age and is now able to channel this experience into helping others.
The interest in the books birthed a BBC documentary called "My Family and Autism", which was so successful that he and his family were later the focus of the television drama "The Magnificent Seven", starring Helena Bonham Carter. He went on to speak around the world, offering practical advice and interventions to alleviate difficulties with ASDs, and to help the positive aspects of a unique world-view shine through.
Now a father in his early thirties, Luke now works as a trained nurse within a neurological environment and has spent his time, while much of the world was in lockdown, helping during the Covid-19 global pandemic.
