As a result of the “widespread and/or systemic failings” (Local Area Partnership report, 2023) that our children and young people with SEND are experiencing in Plymouth, you are warmly invited to take part in our focus groups to influence change.
At PPCV, we know that YOU are the right people to drive positive change for all of our children and young people with SEND. That is why we want to encourage you to take part. Let’s work together to make a positive change for at least 1 other family!
Online focus group meetings with parent carers will take place from 9:30 -11:30 on the following dates:
- Thursday 7th September
- Thursday 14th September
- Thursday 21st September
For those of you who are unable to attend the day sessions, we are able to run an evening session on Thursday the 21st of September. This will be online and will run from 7 – 9 pm at the latest.
If there is demand for evening sessions (for example, if you are working or home-educating) we will do our best to organise it for you. Please email us to let us know if this is the case. We want to make it as accessible to as many families as possible.
We will be looking at what the 9 areas of improvement will look like from the point of view of a family with a child or young person with SEND. A representative from Plymouth County Council (PCC) and a representative from the Intergrated Care Board (ICB) will be there to explain how we (parent carers) can provide input to make improvements.
