What is SEND & Celebration?
SEND & Celebration is the name of the Plymouth Parent Carer Voice annual SEND conference. Just as the name suggests, it is an exciting opportunity for those with SEND and their parents, carers, professionals and anyone with an interest in SEND in Plymouth to meet, question and learn from each other.
Pre-Covid, SEND & Celebration was held on a single day in the Plymouth Guildhall.
That all changed in 2020, so in 2021 we changed the format to allow the conference to continue safely. To make the event accessible to everyone (and to stay Covid-safe) meetings, discussions, presentations and information were held online and the recordings were made available on the PPCV website in the members-only area.
SEND & Celebration 2022 Format
Every weekday evening from Monday 14th March – Friday 25th March, there will be an online presentation or workshop to take part in. We have some wonderful speakers lined up this year. Details will be released at a later date.
On Wednesday 15th June (Covid permitting) we will hold an in-person event at the Guildhall where we invite local groups and companies to run a stand advertising all the groups and activities that are available for children and young people with SEND. You will be able to book appointments with advisors and professionals (for example, PIAS) or catch up with them for an informal discussion. Again, there will be presentations and workshops to join. A light lunch is included.
Both events are FREE for members of PPCV.
