Social Media Officer
POSITION FILLED
- Develop and implement social media strategies to promote Parent Carer Voice and its activities across various platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
- Create engaging content such as blog posts, videos, and other materials to increase the visibility of Parent Carer Voice.
- Manage and grow our social media accounts, monitor engagement and analytics, and provide regular reports to the team.
- Create effective marketing campaigns and promotional materials, such as flyers, posters, and newsletters.
Administrator
POSITION FILLED
- Monitor our email account, responding to enquiries and directing them to the appropriate team member
- Maintain the website, including updating content and adding new resources as needed
- Taking minutes at meeting
- Maintain membership records on our membership system
- Support our fundraising activities
- Provide administrative support to the lead director
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Meeting Associate
This is a partly paid role
- You will be allocated a meeting to attend. The prep work is and the meeting feedback form are unpaid, you will however be paid for the meeting(s) that you attend. You will be expected to represent all families and all disabilities in Plymouth.
Volunteer with us

As a parent led voluntary organisation, we rely on the support of an amazing team of volunteers. If you feel that you can offer some time to Plymouth Parent Carer Voice then please do not hesitate to get in touch - we would love to hear from you.
Your contribution can take the form of a one-off piece of work or an ongoing commitment. We particularly require help and support in the following areas:
- organising and running activities, events, & coffee mornings relating to SEND;
- facilitating our ‘online’ drop – ins for parents and carers;
- attending meetings (online and/or in-person) and feeding back the information to the PPCV lead.
As little or as much as you can offer is welcome and valued. Expenses can be reimbursed with prior agreement.
General Volunteer
This is a voluntary role
- Take part and help with meetings and events
- Support our fundraising activities
- Attend events and be on hand to help on the day
SEND School Ambassador
This role is a voluntary role.
- You will work with your school to help with supporting SEND coffee mornings and other meetings as well as informing the school and families about SEND events. We are looking for a representative from each school or small area.
Speakers
This is a voluntary role
- Do you have a child with a disability? Are you able to speak articulately and keep calm if an event became disorganised?
- We want to hear from you. We want to set up a series of training sessions with professionals to further their understanding of disability. We will also looking for families to add to this information during training sessions as no 2 families take on any disability is the same.
